This application note provides information to assist in the
selection of components for designs using the Allegro Micro-
Systems A3935 three-phase MOSFET controller. In the
fi rst section, the general operation of the boost converter is
described. A typical confi guration is shown in fi gure 1. Then
individual component selection considerations are discussed.
A detailed overview of the selection of each component is
given along with technical considerations. Finally, a worked
example provides a clearer understanding of the selection of
actual component values.
